Spacious, with all of the necessities, in an adorable little castle village. This is a gem!

We loved it.

We had a wonderful four nights in Francesca’s cute apartment. We enjoyed being in a borgo where you could chat with friendly locals, do walks, enjoy the castle views and frescoed church, visit the bar and shop, and yet still be in Saluzzo by car in less than 15mins. It was a great base to explore nearby valleys, towns and the various castles and abbeys. We easily reached, for example, Cuneo and the Pinocchio town of Vernante. The apartment itself is beautifully and personally decorated, clean, comfortable and warm! If you like to cook or need to catch up on your laundry, everything is provided. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony with a drink and watching life in this pretty hamlet. We really felt at home. Thanks Francesca for making us so welcome. Hi to your sister too!

We could easily have stayed a week and explored in other directions.

It was very easy to contact the host. The rooms were very clean. It was also nice to have many coffee capsules so that we could make coffee every morning. The fridge was convenient so that we could have breakfast and store our drinks and other nice things we got from the supermarket, which was only a 5-10 minute drive and downtown Saluzzo was close, which we needed to go to each day for a music festival. It was a very enjoyable stay. We definitely look forward to going back there again.

The only issue was that one of the ac units in the room was not working and we were not able to use the safe in the room. However, since the AC unit in the other room worked, it was able to cool the whole place. So, it was not a big deal for us. Overall, the rooms were so clean and nice, this did not bother us.

Great location in the heart of the small village of Castellar, very close to Saluzzo with all its amenities and sights. It’s a well renovated rustic property which oozes charm and Francesca, the owner is very friendly and helpful. Great walking country at the foot of Mount Monviso. We did two brilliant walks from the property, you need to be pretty fit and have walking boots etc. Casa Cavassa, in Saluzzo and Castello di Manta in Manta are beautiful properties worthy of a visit. The Osteria del Borgo , literally metres away serves home made traditional meals- you must try this place. The owner is very friendly and helpful.

It was very beautiful and relaxed environment. Comfortable and everything you need is already there. Beautiful view and quiet place to be at if your looking for a little peace and quiet in your life.
