Guesthouse Beach Break

Die Unterkunft ist geräumig und bietet ausreichend Platz. Allerdings waren wir auch nur zu zweit. Das Auto kann man ohne Probleme auf der Straße parken. Von der Unterkunft aus kann man in 10-15 Minuten gemütlich in den Ort laufen, auch für einen Ausflug Baleal ist sie ein guter Ausgangspunkt.

Leider haben die Räume etwas muffig gerochen.

Good location if you have a car, though it’s about a 20-minute walk from the Peniche bus station. There are a few supermarkets nearby, which is helpful. The apartment itself is well equipped - I especially appreciated the heating and the blackout curtains in the bedroom. It would have been nice to have a few basic pantry staples, such as coffee or cooking oil, provided. Overall, it’s a comfortable place to stay and offers good value for money.

The hosts left a bottle of wine in the apartment under an “honesty bar” system, with a note asking guests to leave €9 if they chose to drink it. However, I later found that the exact same bottle costs only €1.99 at the nearest supermarket. Honesty should go both ways, and in this case I felt cheated. Another issue was very high humidity in the apartment. Even though they kindly provide a dehumidifier, the air in the apartment was not always pleasant and smelled badly.

Die Lage und die Ausstattung inklusive Heizung der Wohnung war sehr gut. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten Lidl, Aldi und Strand in 5 Minuten Fussweg zu erreichen. Felsenküste zum Wandern ideal. Peniche ist ein sehr schöner Ort.

Das Wetter war leider nicht so toll. Für die Jahreszeit muss man wohl mit Regen, Sturm und kalten Temperaturen rechnen.

Le grille pain bien que neuf ne fonctionne pas automatiquement. Il faut tenir le levier ke temps de griller son pain.

Super liebe Gastgeber und eine sehr gepflegte Unterkunft. Supermarkt 5 Minuten zu Fuß, Gambia- Strand ca. 15 Minuten, die nächstgelegene Küste ist gleich um die Ecke.. Für uns war der Aufenthalt insgesamt sehr schön, gerne wieder.
