Please note dogs can be accommodated by prior arrangement at a cost of GBP 20 for up to a week, payable in cash on arrival. To find Near Howe Cottages, if using a Sat Nav, please use the postcode CA11 0SZ and the turn off to Near Howe is slightly further down on the right hand side. From the East (North and South) - Penrith and the M6 Traveling West on A66 from the M6 Motorway (Junction 40) • Continue 8 miles towards Keswick when you pass the turnoff to Troutbeck (A5091) • Continue for approximately 1 mile and take the next right hand turn signposted Mungrisdale and Caldbeck • Continue for approximately 1 mile to the sign for Near Howe is on the right hand side of the road • The drive way crosses two fields, and then rises past an old ruin up to the top of the hill where you will find the property A deposit may be required at the property.

The beautiful and peaceful location. Very clean and comfortable with lovely touches like milk, hot chocolate, tea coffee and biscuits.

Nothing, everything was fabulous. If I could wish for one thing it would be an EV charger but it certainly wouldn’t stop me visiting again.

Loved our stay in the Sharp Edge cottage. Mark was lovely and welcoming! Absolutely beautiful setting, so peaceful and views were stunning. Loved that there is a secure field for the dogs - they loved it too! The cottage had everything we needed, not to mention the bed, so comfy - WOW! Also loved the fact that you could leave your muddy walking boots down stairs. Great location for walks, with Keswick & Ullswater just down the road! We will definitely be back 😊 Thankyou 😊

The location is amazing. The cottage was beautiful, comfortable, warm and had everything we needed. As it's coming up to Christmas the main room was decorated, which was a lovely touch. The bed was epic! So comfortable. A truly relaxing place

Great location for walking in the lakes. Dog friendly. The views from the apartment of Blencathra were stunning. Will definitely stay again.
