Jose is an excellent host; even though we didn't meet him, we felt very cared for. He left some basics in the apartment for us - including coffee, chilled water, orange juice, some soft drinks, fruit and some pastries. That was a nice touch. The apartment is very cute, with lovely decor. The location is incredible; between a short walk to Triana in one direction and the cathedral in the other directon.

It's not Jose's fault but the communal areas of the apartment are not well kept (bugs, garbage and debris), with a strong sewer stench. There was a bad odor in the apartment; there had been some attempt to cover it up but it persisted. The apartment was also clammy and musky - again no fault of the host but it would have been difficult to stay longer than 2 days. One detail I would have appreciated knowing upfront is that the street in front is pedestrian only, so that's something to think about if you have a lot of luggage.

- Location was great and central - early check in was provided at no extra cost

With in the first 30 minutes of arrival there was a leak from the upstairs apartment that went into a light switch and tripped the power off (this remained off for 30 mins to an hour). Upon looking closer inspection of the area where the leak came from it was evident it had been occurring for some time due to growth of mould, extensive water stains, flaking paint and smell of damp. Response to the issue was slow and meant we had to stay for one of the three nights we had booked. We left after one night due to the health and safety concerns and are still seeking a refund. There was no communication with us prior to our arrival about this issue (I note a reviewer in March 2026 had a similar problem). Will be a great apartment to stay in when these issues are fixed.

Right in the heart of the City, had a good restaurants outside the main door. we rarely used public transport to explore the main sights.

Place is showing its age but its location and the host's generosity more than make up for it.
