Good sized rooms with aircon and terrace at the rear

Elevator wasn’t working although property is only 1 flight of stairs

The Duchi apartment in Palermo was spacious and clean. Carlo the host was great at providing us with any information, and provided us with basic things such as tea, and coffee, etc. The kitchen area was sufficiently stocked with utensils for cooking some basic food, etc. And nearby shops are very close. The rooms were all exceptionally clean, and could not really fault this apartment throughout. I would highly recommend staying here.

Minor issues: One bedroom did not have air conditioning, but as a fan was provided this was really no problem whatsoever. It is a little bit of a walk into the centre of Palermo from here, but this is not really a problem as there are plenty of bars and restaurants along the way.

I have to say a lot about this home and host. I have traveler more then 80 countries and have visited lots of houses and hosts. This is something incredible. Magic home in the middle heart of palermo, clean , tidy , Comfortable. More then magic! And host Mr. Carlos , he is so perfect men, he left his handmade jam, wine and lemonchelo for us, greeted so warmly, cared a lot. Thanks for all, wish to visit again this apartment . Thanks a lot

There is no big mirror in the home, but whole house is perfect !

The property was lovely with spacious bedrooms and a nice terrace to sit outside. Carlo and his wife have thought of everything ! If you don’t like walking too far the bus stop to get everywhere is only a 5 minute walk.

Nothing not to like

The apartment was exactly as described, if anything it looked even nicer in reality, and it was in a great location for getting to the nearest beach in Mondello and all the main sights. The rooms are big, and all but the smallest have air con, as does the big sitting room. There is a lovely big balcony area as well. It’s in a quiet building in a lovely part of the city . Bit of traffic noise, nothing major. Carlo couldn’t do enough for us, he was so lovely and helpful even before we arrived and the little touches like the pastries and the wine and jam were very much appreciated. There were also extra things like toiletries you might have forgotten in the bathrooms, Carlo and his family really do seem to think of everything you might need. I think this is one of the nicest places I have ever stayed in and without doubt with the nicest host. It would be great to have a full length mirror in the bedrooms as there is only one in one of the bathrooms, that is the only thing I can think of as an improvement and I am quite vain 😂. One of the bathrooms does have a shower that is low down on the wall and in a bath but I used that one and didn’t find it that big a deal really. We all agreed that if we came back to Palermo we would definitely stay here again.

That we had to go home!

Carlo and Sonia were probably the best hosts we’ve had in years. They helped us since before we arrived with tips and advice for local places to visit. The apartment was perfectly set and welcoming for us, which we appreciated immensely as our flight got delayed and we were traveling with a 1.5-year old. They had left little treats and welcome gifts for us. The apartment is spacious and very well located - walking distance to all sightseeing sites but not super-central so we could also find parking spots. We would definitely recommend and be back!

Our host, Carlo, was so helpful leading up to our trip, as well as during our stay. He reached out to say hi and asked if there was anything he could help with for our time in Palermo. He sent MANY great food and activity suggestions. Check-in instructions were thorough and straight-forward. The apartment was exactly as advertised in the photos and very clean. We very much enjoyed the privacy of the courtyard balcony. It was great to be able to do laundry part way into our trip. I traveled with my husband and 4 other family members. The apartment was spacious enough for us to spread out in the evenings and have our own space after each day of exploring together.

There are two showers in the apartment, one in each bathroom. The first shower has a normal height shower head, but is a bit small. The second shower does have a shower head, but you have to hold it up yourself, as there isn't a place to hang it up at a height above your head. There was also a lot of traffic and road noise throughout each night. Carlo provided earplugs, but I'd recommend bringing your own noise cancelling headphones if those would work better for you.

Everything! Amazing apartment ' home from home'. Excellent facilities and so big!!!! Great size for a family and so clean. There is a very good supermarket just 5 minutes walk away. The owners (Carlo & Sonia) were amazing and SO helpful with information, directions and any questions. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

There wasn't anything not to like !

Carlo, the owner was extremely hospitable and helpful guide to the city. Guests arrive at the property to a selection of local delicacies for breakfast. Very thoughtful! Well equipped property with amazing attention to detail. No effort spared!
