Historic Charm Garden Flat Adjoining Central Park

Unique, cool, quirky, extremely comfortable, great location! Great host!

Mark met us at the property and helped us to park up. He gave us the keys and explained thoroughly all the facilities inside the property. The property was much larger than we expected and had everything we would need for a much longer stay than we had booked. Mark has dressed the property with beautiful antique pieces which really gave an extra charm to the place. A secure dog friendly garden with direct access via a private gate to the beautiful park behind is a real bonus whether or not you bring your dog. We will definitely be coming back to stay again.

The location of the property was in easy reach of the railway station, and walking from the Garden flat to the town centre took only a couple of minutes. It was also very close to a park which was perfect for walking our dog. The flat was beautifully decorated and perfect for a stay in Taunton. Highly recommended! We shall be returning!

The flat was like something out of a fairy tale! Mark was very helpful too, it was an incredible stay. I hope we can come back one day!

Such a lovely place to stay, beautifully decorated and so much character. Close to the town centre but quiet. Backs on to a lovely park which can be accessed directly from the stunning cottage garden. Don't bother with hotels if you are staying in Taunton, this is so much nicer and much better value.

Absolutely everything! It’s very homely without being in someone’s house, furnished with a lot of taste, extremely clean and Marks’ hospitality is remarkable!

As it is a self catering apartment we knew there would be no breakfast, but very kindly the owner leaves coffee, tea, sugar and REAL MILK just as a welcome. we found that in Taunton there are many places to eat breakfast if desired, Hatchers Department store has a place on the first floor the breakfast and service was great. Mark goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable and so does his gorgeous dog LOLA, We loved everything about the apartment the ambiance, the décor, the flagstone floors. BEING ON THE GROUND FLOOR apart from 3 easy steps into the apartment. If you like MODERN FURNITURE you will NOT like Mark's very BEAUTIFUL home with shabby sheik furnishings and Antiques everywhere you look, its the" BEST PLACE ". The GARDEN is "magical" with lots of seating and tables, trees and plants, EVEN FAIRY LIGHTS in the trees, there is a path that leads you down to a gate at the bottom of the walled garden, which leads you through to Vivary Park, again very beautiful with lots of Ducks and Squirrels, a Victorian bandstand, and fountain, and many other features. Lots for children to do, high play area for older/ teens with ropes etc with supervision, Taunton town is the county town of Somerset, with a lot of individual shops and eateries, as well as the larger type of stores that are across the UK, such an easy place to walk around especially if like us mobility is a bit of a problem . I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMEND and hopefully will be booking again in the near future, because I love this type of feel to a place ,which you would never get with modern surroundings or corporate Hotels. WELL DONE MARK FOR NOT GOING WITH THE NORM. Hopefully, if my illness allows Myself and Partner will be regular Guests, 20/10

Property was clean and a so close to the town! Very well kept! Mark was also a great host, came to greet us. Explained everything and spent some time getting to know us to!
