"Awesome house to go home to after a day’s hikes/exploring"

Self catering semi detached, fully equipped home provided us a beautiful spot to rest after a day’s exploring/hikes. Kitchen was complete and we easily warmed up or cooked our meals- which we preferred rather than trying to find a place to eat or park in town. The home is located in Staffin, about 20 mins drive from Portree- we loved the privacy, the views of the seating areas, the options to eat outside or inside. Absolutely completed our stay. In terms of attractions, we didn’t realise Skye was such a large island. But there are many many places to explore in the North End: Old Man Storr is a 10 minute drive, the Quirang is your backyard (15 min drive to parking), brother’s point is a 10 minute walk. Apart from that, all other spots require a drive- 1 hour to fairy pools or Uig, 90 mins to Dunvegan… The photos don’t do this place justice! The property itself is lovely, proving ocean views on end and mountains on the other.

Nothing. Served our purposes, exceeded our expectations. But that’s the key- understand that you are going to be a ways from Portree.

Lovely large lounge with a view to the ocean. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and it was just so warm and cosy.

The beds didn’t have a headboard so I found that alittle uncomfortable to read at night.

The house is very spacious and comfortable. It was a really lovely place to stay and very conveniently located on Skye!!!

The mattress sagged in the middle, but the bed was still very comfortable. The dishes were a bit dirty, but I am just guessing that the previous guests didn't wash them well enough.
