Stunning Apartment in Victorian Villa with Garden

One of the best rentals I have had the pleasure to stay in. The property is extremely spacious, well equipped (the hosts have thought of everything including little touches like blind folds in bedrooms and labelling the kitchen for ease), and decorated beautifully. You need a car to get around as the area is hilly, but the property was worth it. Stunning gardens and views from the main bedroom.

Nothing! Perfect stay.

The location was peaceful though the roads around are in serious need of maintenance. We were surprised by the size of the garden and patio even though the weather precluded any serious possibility of enjoying it. The property had everything we needed to live in it, rather than just stay in it, when conditions made staying in a better choice to sightseeing. Torquay is one of several villages etc that have morphed together, without the ability to cope fully with the increased traffic that has produced, nevertheless getting about is not difficult but needs a little care. Turning back to the property's interior we were impressed by the quantity and quality of items not usually found, those extras by way of paintings and ornaments, antiques that just serve to add so much interest.

Regarding the property nothing, it is a converted old property done with respect, so not every detail is as you might plan a modern building, but that's not why we chose to visit. My wife suffers mobility issues which were well catered for but found the comfortable seating, of which there is a lot, far too deep for her to make herself comfortable even with the help of the numerous cushions provided. Most people will not be troubled by this.

The place is stunning and huge. The kitchen is great and lovely to cook whilst others can just sit at the breakfast bar. Huge conservatory i can imagine being there with good weather with the doors open and just relaxing. The view from the living room and the bedroom overlooking the garden are great and every morning the would be 2 squirrels hoping about in the garden as we as lots of different birds. All in all a great stay.

It was advertised as having virgin media it even had the Virgin media remote control there, but we were told when we got there that this had been taken out so we had the normal TV which run off the Internet which was very hit and miss. I think for a premium price you should be able to watch TV without the worry of it going off. The photos also show a TV in the kitchen which isn't there.

Nice quiet location, a bit off the main area. Public car parking is a bit scarce in around Torquay but its only a short taxi ride to the Harbour or Babbacombe Downs etc. Josh was always available on the end of the phone, was very helpful and kept us informed of everything.

Area is a bit hilly, but if your fit enough it should be no problem to find your way round the area.

Nothing not to like!

This was living in the grand style. Very spacious apartment and with every comfort. Plenty of room and beautifully furnished.

We were unlucky in that being late in the year we could not make much use of the large patio area to enjoy sunshine and tranquillity. But we really enjoyed exploring the area.
