Lower Flat Hillhouse

The location couldn’t have been any better. I was so glad we get into the local hotels we’re booked up because we had three times the space, a washer for all the dirty clothes that had stacked up and everything was walking distance.

I couldn’t figure out how to use the coffee maker, that’s it!

Very well equipped, comfortable, clean and in a central location. The welcome pack was generous and thoughtful. The log burner was lovely. Thank you to the hosts.

The space was comfortable for a couple. We enjoyed the large kitchen, the comfortable living room with a wood burning stove and the space in the bedroom. Also enjoyed the welcoming touches of wine, cookies. Location in town was great.

Need another extension cord to be able to plug in phone near bed.

The shower. Minimal water flow and shower area was always cool/cold.

A beautiful place to stay. The flat is very spacious and nicely decorated. We were very comfortable staying there and the history of the property is amazing. It really felt like home. The location is amazing with restaurants, pub and supermarket a short distance away.

Water pressure was a little low in the shower but it's an older property and this is something that we now expect with older places.

Great location, very well equipped and lots of room.

5 pm check-in is at least an hour too late, especially when it’s raining and already done a hike. A heated towel rack would be a great addition as we had wet towels for 3 days.

Great location well presented excellent amenities we really enjoyed our stay 😀

Difficult parking

The bed was nice and big, comfortable and warm. The location was very close to a reasonable size co-op, craft shops, the very pretty harbour, pubs and restaurants. The house is in a fantastic location for touring all of the Isle of Skye. The welcome pack left by the owners was very nice.

There is no dedicated parking, although it is quite easy to find parking nearby. The shower pressure wasn't very strong, and initially, we had problems adjusting the heat. We also had trouble keeping the wood burner alight once we went from kindling to the larger logs.

The flat is very well located in the centre of Portree. The flat was very clean and everything we needed was provided. The bed was very comfy. There was lots of room and the flat felt very welcoming.

We had two minor struggles. We took awhile to get the oven to work as there weren't any instructions. Also we couldn't get the wood burner to light.
