Two-Bedroom Apartment near Triberg Waterfall

The house was really great for a family

A freezer could have come handy

Nicely located, clean apartment on a quiet street. Easy check-in, even late evening. The Triberg waterfall is about a 15 mins walk. The apartment is spacious, with large living room and nicely sized bedrooms. The living room features a large TV as well.

The kitchen and bathroom could have been little better (though they were clean despite a little worn, no problem on that). Not the owner's fault, but the walls must be rather thin, as we heard neighbours taking a shower or using the toilet from our bedroom. We haven't experienced this in other apartments during our road trip. The messages received from the owner felt like pre-written, modular scripts, though contained all necessary information. The one frustrating thing was a message that talked about a mandatory guest card (KONUS) to be paid for in cash. When reading the linked website, it was clear that the guest card is optional and looking at its details, completely useless for us with the plans we had in the area. It would have been 20 EUR thrown out the window if I had just paid for it as the owner asked. It's not about the amount but the unfair communication. It left a bitter taste. Hope this practice will be stopped for future guests, and it will be made clear to them that the guest card is optional. Could be useful for some visitors of course.

Very comfortable and close to the Triberg waterfalls. There was clear instruction as to where to get the key and access wifi. There was also netflix which we enjoyed using in the evening.

The decor is unusual but nothing major to worry about.

The property had everything that my family of four needed for one night. The host provided all of the information that we needed to enter the property at our convenience. We were very pleased with everthing.

My only complaint is that the kitchen smelled like leftovers and the odor lingered the entire time we were there. That is not necessarily the host's fault and we do acknowledge that.
