The Ardmore Pod

The pod was lovely and cosy and had all we needed to entertain ourselves and cook. The location was remote, but as we had the car and plenty of petrol, we were able to plan our days and go out and do lots of exploring. The wifi, though the pod is remote, worked well and we were able to stream shows in the evenings.

There was one particular night that was very stormy, I was surprised at how sturdy the pod felt which was great, unfortunately the high winds blew through the extractor fan vents and the flaps outside made a racket which kept us awake more than the storm would have. This didn't happen on any other occasion though so it's just a small point really.

Location was lovely

It was bit too small for two people.

I liked the cabin (pod) itself, the completely different experience if compared with hotels or so. Also the locality was fine the only thing I did not like too much was there is not a pub or a place to meet up with locals ;-)

It might be my own fault, but I struggled with underfloor heating and was unable (even when following the written instructions) to heat up the dop a bit more. My final "success" was between 18°C - 20°C, which is not comfortable when you get wet during your walk to the ocean or so. Another thing that - from my point of view - should be added to written instructions is "how to lock" the door (I finally found the way, but I had struggled with that at the very beginning).
