The internet, like other reviews, was not really useful.

Rooms were large and very clean . Friendly owner. Felt like a home stay - sharing social area with owner. En-suite bathroom. Host made fresh tea for us every morning. Free parking space

Beds could be a bit more comfortable

Very clean and cozy. It looks like a small flat for single use.

Internet speed is terribly slow. The location is a bit far from the station and does not have grocery stores nearby. (You can find a convenience store, though.)

This was a very nice stay and affordable. The host was very kind and understands English, I said I would arrive around 9pm, but I unfortunately got delayed and didn't arrive till closer to 10pm. I'm very grateful that I was able to check in with no problems. The room was very spacious! A lot more spacious than I initially believed. There is also an air conditioner and surprisingly a TV in the room corner, though the TV seemed unusable and merely decoration haha. It was nice to have a private bathroom as well as provided towels. I will definitely try to stay here again when I visit my friends in Tsukuba!

So this wasn't a problem for me, but for other people with bad backs, the bed is quite hard to lie on. Also, I couldn't get the wifi to work. Granted I didn't bother to ask on this issue because I was busy enough not to need the wifi, but I can understand if this would be an issue for others.

Nice and clean bath room, hot water included, separate toilet, big room with cheap price, room make all by wood, smell good, comfy bed.

Lack of mirror

The room I rented was very clean and fully furnished. And I really liked the landlord, he was very nice and always willing to help.

The best thing i like is the hospitality of the guest house owner. He is really kind and can be able to speak English really well. My check-in time was latest at 7PM but I unintentionally checked in really late at 1AM and he was really welcomed and introduce me all the things. I booked the single room with cheap price but in fact, i can use a room with 2 beds and it was rather big with air conditioner and big window. Surroundings are spacious rice fields and the roads are quite big. We can use all facilities from kitchen, common room, and washing machine. The traditional Japanese rooms with tatami with the rice field view is also available for all guest. Also, some bikes were provided for guests, which is super convenient!

It takes 30mins to walk from the Tsukuba station. However you cannot ask a place which is peaceful and near the station at the same time! In general, it is a good idea for a foreigner who want to try living in a traditional Japanese house.

Quiet location, but close to supermarkets and train station. Easy to commute daily to Tokyo. Very friendly and helping hosts.
