The location was close to the centre but far enough out. We could park outside the flat or in neighbouring streets. Had a lovely secure quiet garden. Property was clean and breakfast provided.

We were staying for 5 nights. On arrival I noticed the dining table was broken. We specifically chose this flat as it had a table as child studying for exams and needed a table. Notified owners immediately and advised they’d get it fixed asap. Despite repeated texts this never happened. I had to buy a folding table as her back was getting too sore studying on bed. I went to use the oven and it didn’t appear to work. On at wall and display flashing. Text owner to let them know as I’d bought a full dinner to cook in oven. Ended up wasting the food and had to go out as couldn’t cook it. When I got a reply it was that the clock needs set for oven to work and I should have read the instructions (there were no instructions in the flat) or googled how to use it (no make or model to even try Google). Very cheeky response. There are general maintenance things that need done like lightbulbs out, doors don’t close, tiles broken on bathroom floor, hairdryer broken (I went to the gym to dry my hair as couldn’t deal with noise from hairdryer). Owner blamed previous guests and cleaners for not notifying them of the issues. I ended up over £100 out of pocket due to these issues caused me lots of stress. No goodwill offer or compensation.

The people I had communication told me I was delusional after I complained that I didn’t have hot water or central heating after 9pm until 11 am when I left , they also told me that I am the most horrible guest they have ever had and they were going to give me an award for that . The quilt was filthy , the carpet in the bedroom I used was filthy , not hot water or heating and the weather was -1 outside .

The location of the accommodation is good, because nothing is far from it, but it is not in the city center, you can park on the street. The kitchen equipment is fine, and it's nice of the host to have orange juice and milk in it.

Although I always like to praise, this was our worst accommodation on the two-week trip to Scotland. In the evening we arrived cold, hungry and very tired, and the host told us that he would not let us in until we paid him a deposit for possible damage. With two small children, we were obviously a dangerous guest... The £150 is quite a lot compared to the fact that the accommodation was paid in advance. In addition, you are at the mercy of the host, because you cannot be sure that he will not want to inflict a previous damage on you. No counterargument impressed him, if we don't pay, we can't enter. There was no normal table in the apartment where you could eat, so you either ate from the ground or hunched forward at the coffee table. There was an ongoing problem with Wi-Fi, the owner entered different codes and networks, if one did not work, he probably obtained it from others and did not pay for it. I really don't recommend this place to anyone, all our other accommodations were fine, that's why it's out of line.
