Fantastic hosts, well thought out design, really is an exceptional experience.

Cute, cosy and comfortable. Bigger than expected, especially the bathroom. Bed was comfy, the heated blanket was a real treat! Walking distance to 2 distilleries (Aberlour and Glenallachie) and the town itself. No oven but gas hob and microwave but all required pots, pans and condiments. Great comms from host. Would stay again!

This place was heaven on earth!! The place is beautiful, so clean and had many delightful small touches (I loved the robes). The bathroom was the best I have ever been in and has now set the standard for my dream bathroom. The place is a short walk from the main village where you can get really good Chinese food and there are many distilleries within walking distance. The hosts were responsive, kind, and helpful - you can see the care and love they have put into the place. Perfect for our honeymoon stay and we will be back again :)

Everything about The Bothy Aberlour was perfect. Wabi-sabi is the best way I can describe it—the beauty was in the natural imperfections, and that’s exactly what made it feel so real and grounding. Michelle and Jody didn’t miss a single detail. I’m still amazed at how perfectly the wood stove was prepared; I’ll need a lesson someday on how they stacked the logs, kindling, and firestarter so it lit with such ease. Michelle was an incredible host. I love cooking with fresh, local ingredients when I travel, and anything I didn’t have on hand, she walked over—in the snow—without hesitation. I even made my very first Scottish-style beef mince pie here, and it turned out fantastic, thanks to the cozy little kitchen setup. For my first time in Scotland, I honestly don’t think I could have asked for a better impression. This place—and these hosts—set the bar incredibly high.

To far for me to visit more regularly.
