Cozy studio and standard apartments in the heart of Oldtown

The location

The entrance. It was too dark when I entered and had to put on my mobile lights, The sensor took some time to switch on the lights.

The location is right in the very middle of 'party town'. Other reviews mention the noise levels but simply do not convey the exact loudness! Directly opposite the apartment window is a nightclub and a 'gentleman's' club, so if you want to party all night in either of them, no problem. Thursday night, really loud and really late. Friday night, very loud until gone 5am, same on Saturday and Sunday, the noise dies down for about 12:30. That might appeal to some and not to others, but it's about time a review told other travellers how it really is there. On the weekend, it is super noisy. The apartment is clean, safe, and secure, smaller than the photos convey, but great for a solo traveller for just a few days. By day the location pays dividends, it's a stones throw to so many places you might want to visit, there is an Iki convenience store a couple of doors down; and a 'Caffeine' café also very close by also.

Very rude host - I advised and had an agreement for my arrival time with my flight arriving at 23:20 so the host was 100% aware of this, and it was agreed that I was arriving by car. When I arrived at the barrier, which needed to be opened before I could gain entry in the car, the pre provided instructions from the host were to call him, which I did. WhatsApp call 1, no answer, WhatsApp call number 2 no answer, my Lithuanian friend called via her mobile, call 1 no answer, call 2 no answer. I messaged in the Booking.com App, no reply. I called via video and the call was cut off. The barrier eventually opened. Once parked, it wasn't clear where we needed to head next, it was late, dark, and I was a little stressed given the amount on time it took for the host to answer and open the barrier, thinking I needed to find a hotel for the night. So my Lithuanian speaking friend called the host. He was so rude to her and told her he was sleeping, and she woke him up! After my friend persisted and asked for some further directions, he asked her "Do you know how to read?". We needed to call him again to exit, we didn't want to, given how rude he was, but she needed to exit to drive home, so we had another conversation with the host, who was very rude again. You can make your own minds up, of course, but when a customer has agreed the arrival time and the host knows they can't gain entry without them and goes to bed, that's pretty bad in itself. But then for that host to be so angry and speak to my friend like she was dirt with insults is not the kind of host who should be in the business, and travellers need to be made aware that this host is a rude, insulting guy who clearly doesn't care about his guests.

Very well equipped apartment, great location and the contact with the host easy.

Maybe a little bit loud outside at the street late at night on Friday and Saturday. For me that's not a problem and on Sunday it was no noise at all.

Interesting restructuring project in a traditional building in central Vilnius.

Excruciatingly noisy. The apartment is located atop of a very popular club, with deafening music playing the whole night on the Friday and Saturday I spent there. Also, the apartment does not look the least like the pictures shown in the advert. The bed is perched on an inbuilt wooden mezzanine accessible through a literally vertical ladder, not the safest or the most convenient option.

The appartment is very nice, super well equipped and in the center of town, BUT....

...being in the center of town it is situated next to a night club that starts around 11 pm and closes its doors around 5am. So there is a constant noise during the whole night: loud boxes and people laughing, singing etc.

Vilnius street is very loud but the host provided earplugs. The mattress isn't very comfortable (thin and hard).
