Lake front location with all necessary facilities. However for this you need to continually use the steep stairs from the lake to the town centre. Not a problem if you are fit and have only carry-on luggage.

Dated interior. Lounge extremely uncomfortable and the water in shower recess pooled and did not drain quickly. Noticed this in early reviews also.

View was superb, location perfect, Host met us and personally took us to the apartment and explained how everything works

Cobwebs, only one plate and one bowl in the kitchen , furniture very basic

The location is amazing. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony with views of Lake Como. Alberto met us at the church square to guide us to the apartment (the streets are pedestrian only and finding the apartment without his assistance would have been difficult). Alberto gave us an excellent bottle of wine as a welcome gift. The apartment is close to very good restaurants. The apartment was spacious for 2 people. It was clean. The bed was comfortable. The washer and dryer worked well and were very helpful.

The sofa and kitchen chairs weren't very comfortable. US visitors need to be aware that plumbing and electricity in Varenna can be quirky. The shower drain tends to back up.

Everything 😍. The hosts, father and son were truly great people and so welcoming.

Location, location, location! Simply can’t be beat. Alberto met us at the station, which was great, since it would’ve been a challenge to find on our on. The apartment is right down by the water, with beautiful views, and it’s convenient to restaurants and shops. The ferry landing is about a ten minute walk away, so it’s easy to organize a day trip to Bellagio or any of the other lake towns. But you’ll probably just want to get a nice bottle of wine and sit out on the balcony. Gorgeous!

The sofa bed in the living room isn’t comfortable to sit on. A few good sized cushions would help a lot.

Location location location. Beds were comfortable and separate. Good for kids.

Inadequate air condition in master bed room and fan had electrical issue causing fan not to work without light being on

The view from the balcony is outstanding. Plenty of restaurants nearby and 2 limited grocery stores.

The kitchen was poorly stocked. Not even a cheese grater. There are few bowls and inadequate saucepans. The bed was uncomfortable, and the apartment was filthy as were saucepans, a stove top coffee maker, and some dishes. Don't even consider cleaning the top of the picture frames.

Perfect location in Varenna! Giorgio & Alberto are wonderful hosts and very accommodating! Thank you so much for your help during our stay & for facilitating a last minute request for a late check out.
