Brand New Auckland Apartment

The neighbours were polite.

Apparently, the apartment was for sale, but I was not told about it till I moved in, and someone randomly knocked on the door one day, asking to come in for photos and then to come back in on the following weekend for a property viewing with potential buyers. Of course, especially on a solo trip, I did not agree with any of these. But it would be great to have the Zodiac team inform me that this was the case before reservation/arrival. Additionally, on arrival, I noticed some damage on the wall, broken items, and unsafe fire hazards, and I sent these all to them via email. Not to complain, but not to take any responsibility for previous damage. There was no reply to this email. I stayed till the end of my reservation. On the checkout day, I received an Email from Cristina from Zodiac that there was damage on the wall (which was previously there), and hence my card had to be charged. This was very unprofessional on their end. I called the office immediately, explained the situation to another staff member, and forwarded the same email I had sent to them on the check-in showing that the damage was there prior to my stay. Eventually, the money was refunded to my card. So far, Zodiac was not a great experience for me. Reading other reviews from other platforms, I found out there are a lot of people who got caught by the same issue. ***Luckily, I had photos and emails to prove I was correct and honest.*** Altogether, I do not recommend Zodiac. If you still wanna go ahead with this office, make sure you take photos of the property and email them on Check-in day. Otherwise, prepare to have your card deducted.

Everything was amazing. No complaints bar one.

The check-in is quite late and I ended up having to sleep on a bench because my flight got in at 5am and check in was after 3pm. No place to drop bags either, had to pay for luggage storage :(

Had everything we needed. Kitchen facilities were good.

Location was a bit out of the way, having to go somewhere else to get the key was a pain. Bed wasn't very comfortable. No air conditioning. Very noisy

Checking in through drop box isn’t explained well during booking. Dragging suitcase 2.5km in rain is a pain. TV is minute.
