There were two hosts (mother and son), with the son speaking English very well, the mother not so much. The whole apartment was very nicely furnished. The location was very good for me, because I commuted to the nearby Hotel Falkensteiner for work. After all, the nearby accommodation was one of my main reasons why I chose this accommodation.

I was supposed to stay with a colleague who arrived the day after me. In Serbia, all accommodation owners who host foreigners are obliged to report foreigners to the police within 24 hours of their arrival. My colleague and I repeated several times to the owners to report us and issue us a certificate. We also sent them a link to the official statement of the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where it was clearly described. The owners knew nothing about it and only assured us that no one had ever asked them for such a thing. My colleague ran out of patience and preferred to go live alone in a hotel, where of course they knew about this and arranged everything for him automatically. The accommodation issues absolutely no proof of payment and payment is only allowed in cash, so the accommodation is unsuitable for business travel where one requires some form of proof from the accommodation for their institution. Although I checked in Booking that I was traveling for work, I should have specified that I require a document from the accommodation. My fault for not doing that. I recommend discussing the method of handing over the keys well in advance. The apartment is part of a large old eight-story block of flats with dozens of apartments with other people. The owners try to communicate only through Booking, which can be a problem in the absence of mobile data. I was missing a strainer (for pasta) from the equipment. The tea towel was dusty, so after wiping the wet dishes, the dishes were dusty. However, there is a dishwasher in the apartment, so probably no one uses a towel by default. A dirty baking pan was left in the oven from the previous tenants. For me, these were small things compared to the complaints from the previous paragraphs. But they might bother some people more than me.
