Apartment Zemun Old Town Center

Nadat ik gebeld heb om aan te geven dat we onderweg waren werden we gastvrij ontvangen door de host. Alles uitgelegd etc. De ruimte is netjes en van alle voorzieningen voor een paar dagen verblijf voorzien. Heel tevreden. Perfecte locatie. Hartelijk dank en graag tot de volgende keer. Very nice apartment near the Main Street of Zemun, but a little bit back in a gallery so that the noise is reduced. Pedestrian Zone with bakeries, cafes and restaurants just across the street. Good connection into Belgrade by bus or bicycle along the river.

The hostess was very kind and she was very flexible in allowing me to stay an extra hour for the check out.

Lighting and ambience in the apartment were great, and there was a wide range of TV channels available if needed. The property sits quietly in a Habsburg‑style arched arcade on the south‑east side of Glavna Street, just across from the vibrant pedestrianised Zemun Old Town with its many restaurants and high‑end shops. The nearby ‘Zemun Posta’ bus stop has frequent modern buses for a short and pleasant ride into or from Central Belgrade :- very convenient and currently nil fare. The host was extremely helpful and met me to hand over the keys and explain the property features. On departure I simply placed the keys in the key‑box outside. The arcade can look a little worn at first glance, but it is completely safe, well lit, and actually quite charming. I needed to pay in cash - not a problem - but it may be useful for future guests to know in advance. The following are transient observations from the time of my visit, not dislikes. A couple of feature light‑bulbs were missing, and replacing them would enhance the ambience even further; a microwave might be useful for longer stays; the key for the outer iron‑grille door could be a little fiddly to remove at times, though it just needed a firm pull. All in all, I was very pleased with my stay.
