Second stay here. Fantastic location in a small village, with good connections to the motorway. Excellent local walks. 30 min drive hadrians wall. Next to gorgeous pub. Food 10/10, we had the steak with truffle chips. Flat is comfy and quiet. 2 separate bed areas. Small kitchenette. Everything you need for a few days. Cosy and warm. Hosts are very helpful and friendly. Planning next stay.

This is a beautiful place. We were unlucky enough to book on a Monday so the pub was not open, but we could not have asked for a more comfortable, enjoyable stay. It was peaceful, cozy, comfortable- just a brilliant place. Easy to get to, and it was really nice, though we didn't use them because we only stayed the one night, that there are area maps to use. I would highly recommend this cozy space, and would love nothing more than to come back for a longer stay

Lovely apartment, easy access from the motorway. Booked a table for food in the attached pub, great food with friendly attentive staff. Would book again.

Surprised there was cereal left for us, wasn't expecting it. Location a bit of a drive from main village but next door to pub food excellent staff extremely friendly

Concrete stairs up to the apartment were not good had to carry cases and bags , need to be fit and able. Lighting needs to be better on these steps and the corridor

A bit expensive if you need a taxi to Carlisle.
