The location is great, central, near everywhere: pub, groceries, Danube, public transport, the parlement

[The owner blamed us for his own mistakes.] We thought that we were renting the whole place as we did not find any clue that the apartment was shared in Booking.com. It was 8 pm that my family (with 2 kids) checked in. We followed the instruction he sent via whatsapps. He did mentioned not to take the blue key no 2. We entered the apartment through the main door and found 2 kitchens and 2 bathrooms, seemingly two units. They were unlocked. Plus, only one door of the two rooms is labeled A which is irrelevant with key no 1. And the other door is not labeled. The next morning, the owner called me angrily because he accused me of using two units without his permission. He went further by threatening us with fines. Both me and the new tenant that arrived in the morning were surprised that we had to share the units. We somehow managed to keep cool and make things as normal as possible between me and the new tenant. Even more bizzare, without agreement from the new tenant, he sent someone to clean up the room and the cleaner came during the new tenant was having a meeting. She then rellocated to our room and had the meeting. Next, the owner came to our units and kept making arguments and didn't want to listen to our arguments. The owner dramatized things and kept sending me private messages and threatening to evict me from the unit if I do not pay the fine 100 Euro by 7 pm. I came to Budapest for having a holiday. But the owner's behaviour was almost ruined our holiday. In my opinion, he needs to learn some common senses and try to understand from the point of view of other people. In the end, we were thankful with the help from Booking.com customer services. We did not mind to rellocate to other places in the condition that we get a refund. The owner seemed unwilling to lose money, but he learned his lesson. We did not pay anything to him but felt the uncomfortable due to uncertainties he caused.

The location.

It is much smaller than it seems in the photos. There is only one main room that has the kitchen, the living room and the two beds. It is not comfortable for more than 2 people and it doesn’t have air conditioning. Horrible experience.

The self-checkin went without any problems thanks to a great explanation with a practical video-guide. The accommodation is in the very heart of Budapest, it thus comes with increased noise level in the evenings, but that's the price for the great location in walking distance to everything really. It includes an iron, a hair dryer, a fan and a toaster :) As to parking - street parking is possible and we had no problem finding a place, but I would recommend travelling by a smaller car. During weekends parking was free, during weekdays it is one of the priciest areas, but again, great location...

The facilities would need a bit of upgrade, the shower handle was leaky, some lights were not working, cleanliness of the facility leaves room for improvement (we also found some hair on the carpet, but maybe to get rid of the very hairy carpet would be a good start to solve this), and air conditioning is missing during hot summer nights. However, I believe it's all considered in the price that is more than favorable. Besides, it includes an iron, a hair dryer, a fan and a toaster :)
