Niet beleefd, sprak geen Engels, enkel cash te betalen. Afgeleefd, gat in gordijnen van sigaretten, vlekken op lakens, schroeisporen van sigaretten op meubels. Vuile muren, stukken van meubilair, alles verkleurd, roestige radiator, ….

Excellent location!!! Just 5 minutes from the metro and Lidl, with a bus stop right outside for easy access to the city center (and other buses that can take you directly to the Zoo and Aquarium). The building is very secure, featuring a front desk and doors that are locked from 23:00. This ensures nobody can enter without a key, as there are two locked doors to pass before reaching the elevator to the guest floors. The room itself is ideal for two people but can comfortably fit three if needed. Additionally, the owner provides a new trash bag and toilet paper on the door handle every day. Another positive is that the elevator works perfectly, which is a great help when carrying suitcases.

To be honest, the list of negatives is a bit longer than the positives. We aren’t picky, but the room did not look as modern or renovated as it did in the pictures (it likely depends on which room you are assigned). While the layout matched the photos (3 beds, a table, a small closet, kitchen, and bathroom), the cleanliness was disappointing. The floors were sticky in places, and the bathroom had dust around the sink and spots on the mirror. There was also a large hole above the toilet where the flush button should be, leaving the pipes exposed (but there was a rope for flushing the toilet above that hole). Out of the four towels provided, two had large bleach or hair dye stains, so we ended up using them as floor mats in the bathroom. The kitchen was well-equipped with all the necessary utensils, which was a plus. However, we had several issues with the bedding. The duvet covers had broken or missing zippers, and the duvets themselves were too small for the covers, making it difficult to keep them in place (the same applied to the pillows). Technical issues: The Wi-Fi was not working. Although the internet line was active, the router wouldn't allow wireless connections. We tried restarting it and holding the buttons for various intervals, but nothing worked (we did everything possible but with no luck). Also, be aware that the TV only has Hungarian channels and the signal in the room can be quite low, which might cause additional issues. Overall, the room needs better maintenance and a more thorough cleaning.
