Kastely Apartments - Buda Castle

We enjoyed the location it was convenient and suited to our needs. Shops down the road, within 30 min walk from most major things. The amount of space in the apartment was great, and we especially appreciated having access to a kitchen and washing machine, which made our stay much more comfortable and practical. The host was lovely and friendly in person. While we did need to go through Booking.com to get some issues resolved, they eventually handled issues, correctly

To start, we ran out of toilet paper one night during our 5-night stay. When we reached out to request more, we were told to go and buy some ourselves, after several attempts of pleading we reached out to Booking.com for assistance, the host then brought toilet paper to us. It was disappointing that we had to escalate the situation for such a basic amenity. When arriving at the property, there were a lot of stairs to access the apartment, which wasn’t mentioned beforehand. This made carrying luggage difficult. While we accepted this, the bigger concern was that most of the stairs were in complete darkness. Unfortunately, this resulted in my daughter falling down them, which was very concerning. Upon entering the apartment, we were met with a very strong smell, initially similar to cigarette smoke (though we’re not certain what it was). We had to air out the space to make it comfortable. The washing machine was useful, but guests should note that no detergent is supplied, so you need to bring your own. We experienced a major issue with the floor heating. Despite being switched off, it remained extremely hot (around 32°C). We had to run the air conditioning constantly just to cool the room and even had to stand on pillows while cooking because the floor was too hot on our feet. After several unsuccessful attempts to get assistance, we were directed to try the fuse box, we ended up turning it off at the main switch ourselves to get relief. The main bed was comfortable; however, the sofa bed was very poor quality, essentially a hard surface without a proper mattress or cushioning. We had to improvise to make it comfortable enough for our daughter to sleep. We hope these things are resolved in the future to make it a pleasant experience for others

Tutto perfetto, posizione e pulizia ottime

The apartment jest very well equipped. No need to worry about salt or sugar, tea coffee,or even Vegeta,😀 wine glasses or what have you -even disposable toothbrushes and a mini toothpaste. Lovely! It is really nicely located -just a few minutes walk to the castle. Clean and decent.

They were just 3 points I didn't like. First of all the smell... maybe it's just an old building but the smell of freshly cooked broccoli at the door was a bad experience every time we opened the door. The very first time we crossed the door the experience was even worse because somebody had cleaned the floors with a very smelly mop.. you probably know what I mean...🥺 Than they put the mop into one of the kitchen cupboards. Disgusting ... Of course I spotted it and put it to the bathroom where smelled for the rest of our stay. Another thing was the view from the window.I understand that the owners can't change it. However you should be aware that all you'll see are the windows and walls of the building opposite. Thirdly- it was cold. And again I am aware that we came in February but it felt really cold ... Although there are some heating panels in the walls but even though we set them to 22 C the temperature never reached more than 19.5 C. We tried to heat a little bit with the air conditioning but it seemed to get blocked after just a few minutes every single time...

Perfectly described, what you see is what you get. No surprises. Will be back for sure!

L'appartamento era carino

L'appartamento era in uno scantinato con odore di fogna nel bagno e vista su un orribile corte interna piena di cacca di piccione. Era impossibile fare la doccia in due persone perché l'acqua calda finiva subito. Lo staff è stato scortese e non ha mantenuto i servizi promessi. C'era la macchina del caffè ma le cialde erano in vendita solo ad un centro commerciale a 40 minuti di viaggio e cambiando due bus

Everything was perfect. The apartment was beautiful. The location was ok. It was clean generally, but i personally want the bathroom cleaner. I'm telling this because wherever i travel i clean the bathroom by myself just to be sure and i found some imperfections. I recommend this place!
