GBMark and Lynne were very welcoming hosts. The property was so cozy, clean and comfortable - one of our favourite places we have stayed in! The homemade bread and Cornish butter was a lovely personal touch, along with the Eden Project coffee pods which were lovely too. Thank you both for a great stay.

The tiny narrow alley up to the property, nowhere to turn a car around so had to reverse back down a steep really narrow alley. Even in my small car it would have been a nightmare in the dark so I didn't stay despite booking it for 4 nights. When I told the owner I wasn't staying because of the dreadful parking situation, he was quite rude.
GBRelaxing stay, comfortable bed, outside area was great, loved the bar area and bbq, it was so peaceful. Mark and Lynne were very accommodating, fully equipped kitchen, nice welcome touches, bread fruit, etc. Great location in the beautiful Tamar Valley, with the mesmerising viaduct and the community spirit, will definitely be visiting again.

IELoved own private benched entrance courtyard for relaxing and eating meals from well-fitted bright kitchen. Plenty of bag storage shelves like a walk-in wardrode leading to the bright spacious bathroom, again with ample tabletop space for bits n'bobs. Lovely comfy bed, just a pleasant room to be in with windows everywhere, seats, old vintage games even. But complete privacy. Must mention the gorgeously abundant garden leading from the private car-parking space at the fun BBQ/ beach-bar area at the front gate. You have to see it!

GBGBThe Artists Retreat is a perfect location. 20 mins from Looe and 30 mins from Lydford Gorge where you will find amazing walks that include waterfalls and the Devils Cauldron a must visit. Calstock is a small village with 2 pubs that is a very short walk from base. The Artists Retreat has everything you need for a perfect getaway. The bed is amazingly comfortable and the huge walk in shower is divine. The kitchen has everything you need. There is also a sit out area that is private.
