Bob Apartments

The room was spacious and the AC and fan were working well (assuming there was electricity, of course). The location can be considered fine as long as you've got a car -- can't say much about buses, but the bus route goes along the main road where the house is located, so I guess these would work, too. A few unguarded parking spots available.

Basic breakfast, tea/coffee, bread, margarine and jam. Only cold water in the shower (in spite of the host's claim to the contrary). Got a room facing the street, which meant lots of traffic noise (also at night and early in the morning). Now the peculiar part. I booked last minute and the host sent a message that late check-in was impossible: a message I did not receive as I had no internet access. A text message would be nice since it was a short notice and I had already let the host know I was planning on arriving late. When we arrived there was no-one to check us in and since the place doesn't have a working doorbell it was a bit weird. Top it off with the whole town being blacked out, and the host's father being upset about our arrival even though they had specifically told us not to arrive late (which we didn't know about)... Well, a tough start for a holiday. The funny thing is that the hosts live behind the premises, so I can't imagine our late arrival (9pm) to have been much of a bother, but I guess setting boundaries is what made the difference. Oh, speaking of boundaries - there's more "don'ts" than "dos" in and around the premises, which is weird, as usually one wouldn't assume to receive a specific instruction not to cook in a room where there's no kitchen... All in all, a funny way to greet guests they have, but it was the cheapest place around, so I can't really complain.

- The location is good. It is less than a minute from bus stops to P.Louis and to Goodlands. There's a gas station opposite and Intermart supermarket is a few metres away. Anse la raie beach is close. - There's enough parking space in front of the property. - The studio is clean and has most of the facilities needed. - The AC and the swimming pool are a big plus. - Food can be bought in the accommodation. - The staff are polite and friendly. - Good value for money.

- No iron in the accommodation. - There's a guarantee deposit that was not mentioned on booking.com.

Only the price

Room 8 is facing to the main road, absolutely noisy even at night. The curtain is so thin, once the sun rise it will be daylight in the room. The apartment has no kitchen stuff except 2 glasses, not even a plate or cutlery. Location is far from everything. The owner guy has a really unpleasant / you are not welcomed here vibe

Their maid was very good

Wi-Fi was not very good We had to sleep at the living for Wi-Fi to be connected

The people are very helpful and friendly. The place feels me at home.

Sheila was very nice and helpful, the pool.

Humidity in the shower, very loud room due to the proximity of the main road. Lack of place to put thing ou ouf our bags. No internet in the rooms. Breakfast is not good.
