Communication wasn't great from the get go. We received no messages with instructions on how to check in. The address took us to a house round the corner and we had to call the hosts to direct us to the property. When we arrived, we noticed the apartment wasn't the cleanest. A glass had been left in the sink, the floor clearly hadn't been swept and there was dust in a lot of places. On top of all of that, one of the bedrooms didn't even have a blind for the window. Very poor standards. How could it get worse? The dreaded 'B' word. We were on the sofa for around 20 minutes until we discovered the infestation of bed bugs. Two crawled onto my friend and we saw more within the cracks of the sofa. This made us extremely uncomfortable so we decided to book somewhere else for the night. I messaged the owner straight away explaining the situation and requesting a refund. I am still yet to receive that refund.
