The automated text message sent to everyone via booking.com isnt good enough to check genaral check in of the guests.. Horrible stink smell came from the kitchen sink and drains,gave me a very bad belly ache,,and couldnt sleep the whole night.. Bedroom was really cold,I slept with jacket on...little poxy radiator not efficient to warm the whole big bedroom...why not buy a portable one for colder nights? bathroom shower water was cold,then it gts warm for 2 seconds and back to cold...unacceptable.. too many stairs to the apartment room. Noisy neighbours late night and early morning. overpriced due to Barnsley lacking enough apartment to compete with...not worth £100 tops a night... might as well stay in a hotel room

Location was great for what I needed and the building was beautiful, a real find! Apartment was clean and well presented. Nice touch having pictures of the history of the building too. Would recommend and stay again :)

Absolutely gorgeous place, I was really blown away by the quality of everything and how immaculate it was. Being Christmas the view of the town hall and lights in the dark really made it lovely. I also don't think I've ever been to such a nice smelling and warm place on arrival. Host was very helpful when I was confused about the lockbox location and left lots and lot of local info, as well as a few refreshments which were greatly appreciated.

The only thing that could have made this place better for me was a bath but I was aware of this prior to booking. Otherwise I couldn't complain.
