Milo's place is a home from home

Despite the pictures being up on booking.com and having a good description, I found it a little hard to find. At the bottom of a lovely and very narrow street was the small but comfortable building, that we were staying in for the next week. The bedrooms each had a double bed and in one room there was not much space to store case. But the bedroom, the bedding and the house itself was clean and comfortable. With a butchers located almost opposite, it was a great place to get locally sourced meat and meet the locals. The little village is lively during the daylight hours and of an evening super quiet. Lovely place and great for the ramblers to use as base.

The washing machine and cooker were in full working order.

Stunning place my only quibble was the locals cutting through the lane very late and they were very loud

Central location to Egremont

It was difficult to find and the shared parking wasn’t really accessible. We didn’t park there. On entrance there was a defective (flashing) bulb in the kitchen area and no batteries in the tv remotes.

Location. It wasn’t easy to find. Very little in the way of cooking utensils-I wasn’t able to cook a meal. Nowhere to put clothes-only coat racks to put hangers on! It was a really cold day when I arrived but the owner didn’t want the heating over 20 degrees and it took ages to warm up. There’s a separate thermostat for the upstairs which I didn’t notice until the next day. No lamps-even in the bedrooms-so you had to use the main lights only. Milo’s Place has the tag line ‘a home from home’ sorry, but that wasn’t my experience. Can’t comment about the owners as I didn’t see or hear from them.
