Fortress 1: Quiet, Lux 50m2 , apartment in the pedestrian zone

Seriously, if you are lucky enough to have this place available take it. It is brilliant value, mainly because the location is perfect, right beside the French embassy just within the network of walking streets that form the basis of the old city. Restaurants and shopping galore right at your doorstep. The main historic sites and Danube are just a short 10min walk away through the parks. The accommodation is very spacious and exceptionally fitted out. Three seperate rooms kitchen, bedroom and lounge. However, while the location and facilities are brilliant they are not the highlight of choosing this accommodation - that is Aleksandar, the host. He was the highlight of our short visit to Belgrade. He is an articulate, intelligent and energetic host that truely enjoys his task of hosting visitors to Belgrade. He offers a transport service that we, after spending 2 hours negotiating and failing with the local taxis services, we engaged. Best decision we have made on our travels so far. I would highly recommend travelling Aussies and Kiwis, particularly if you are retired professionals, to try and snag this accommodation. You will have a great time and you may end up making a great Serbian friend. Thank you Aleksandar for making our short incidental, we were there only to take the Belgrade to Bar train ride, special. It is now on our list of places to have a much closer look at in the future.

The location is really great, everything is so close, even the shopping mall is near by. The accommodation is super clean and looking like a president apartment 😁. There's just everything - kitchen stuff, spices, first aid kit and so on. The host is also very friendly. :) planing to go there again!

Perfect apartment for a stay in the best part of Belgrade. Everything is within a few minutes walk. Shopping center is two minutes away, cafes and restaurants everywhere, Kalemegdan fortress and Central Park, zoo, can’t believe we were lucky enough to find this place available. Extremely friendly and helpful host. Great in every way.
