Good location on the harbor, walkable and easy access to ships. Nice eating area with a look over the North Sea.

International travelers - BEWARE! 1. Key pickup is a 45 min walk from the actual apartment, so unless you have a car, you’re screwed. You can pay extra for them to drop off the keys, but they won’t offer to pick them up. 2. They only accept a Bank Transfer as payment unless you spend two weeks of back and forth and several phone calls with Booking.com before they finally admit they can accept a credit card. This was very stressful to be told in the same day they could and then could not accept a credit card for payment and they refused to cancel my stay so I could find a location that was less troublesome. 3. The building smelled so strongly of fish, it was nauseating. This was beyond typical harbor smell. 4. The apartment has an older carpet still installed. If you have allergies, may want to avoid 5. Linens not provided, which is a bit more common in Germany. But if you find an actually nice place to stay, that will often be included without needing to pay more to rent them. Considering this was a last minute trip so I could attend a funeral of a loved one, I was pretty upset that this location gave me such a hard time leading up to my trip. I’ve stayed in Cuxhaven for years and have never had a place demand an unsafe bank transfer as payment.
