Vigadó Square Panorama Apartment

The apartment is large and made a great base for our family’s stay. The location is hard to beat - right in the heart of the city and easily accessible from everywhere. We loved the view of the river from the terrace, particularly in the evening. James could not have been more helpful or accommodating as a host, and we really appreciated his helpful and clear communication before and during our stay.

Ideally located in downtown in close proximity to all major attractions

The location is perfect for tourism, it's on the flat side of the river, and you can pick up e-scooters or bikes outside the door. The shopping and cafe area is a block away, and very pedestrianised, it's the same side of the river as the Parliament and only a ten minute metro ride away from the biggest spa baths. Walking or biking / scooting makes this side of the river completely accessible. The Palace is opposite you, and there's a rooftop balcony to relax in the evening. The kitchen is well provided for, and the bedroom is spacious.

There was a plumbing smell in the building that grew over the days I stayed there, until it became such that I had to avoid breathing through my nose in the apartment. It was centred i the bathroom, the host had said that a device was used to fix the issue, however it simply became worse over several days. this is a pity, and it may be due to the age of the building and its internal plumbing arrangement.

This apartment has a fantastic location, overlooking the square and the Danube. The views from the roof terrace are great - we watched dancing in the square on the Sunday night. The apartment is pretty well equipped and plenty big enough for two. The kitchen has a big fridge and all you would need (we didn't need much, but it was all there, including an espresso machine and cafetiere. The welcome from the host was lovely. He showed us round the apartment and shared tips on places to go. Made us feel really welcome - and his English is excellent (unlike our Hungarian!!)

The apartment felt a little dated and had a shabby chic feel. The toilet is very small and there was a leak coming from the cistern. The whole building felt a little shabby, but none of this spoilt our stay and the location was well worth it.

Odour in bathroom (internal, no window). Shower hand held and didn't stay in its holder. No view from bedroom windows, had to climb up to balcony in attic. Tricky to use door keys.

We loved the property, it is in the middle of the center. James is very helpful man.

Location was perfect, right along the Danube. James was extremely helpful prior to my arrival even allowing me to drop off my luggage before check-in time. He was ill when I arrived so I never actually met him in person but his wife met me and introduced me to my room and was extremely nice and helpful as well.

Although everything seemed very clean, the bathroom had an unpleasant smell which I believe they were trying to correct but had not been successful. My overall rating would probably be much higher except for that.
