St. Gellért Square - Minilux Apartman

We stayed in this pearl of a flat several times before. Travelling with family or for business we always check first if this apartment is available. Its location is perfect for the city centre, for a stroll along river Danube or for work at the universities nearby:) Of course, if you are after huge spaces, a separate living room and kitchen, large dining areas then this apartment is not for you. But if you like innovation, enjoy creative thinking and ideas how to utilise perfectly a small space then this apartment will amaze you! We truly enjoy seeing how everything has its own space and enough space in a small apartment. The cosy and modern style mixed with a little bit of tradition is impressive and somehow the style of the apartment matches exactly our taste. The kitchen is fully equipped. We could cook our own breakfast and dinner. However, shops and restaurants are also close if you don't want to cook. The bedroom upstairs can get hot, especially in the summer but the rooftop window or the air conditioning cools it perfectly. The bed is practically a mattress but it is perfect and gives you the joy of relaxing sleep. Check is is straightforward, we received codes for the front door and then the lock box inside the building well before arriving. It is as easy as it can be. Although we did not meet our host, she was always ready to help or provide information when needed. In January, there was a huge snow in Budapest, and our host checked if the street was cleared from the snow or not and even sent a photo to help us decide whether we wanted to drive on the street or not.

We missed the free parking space for the apartment, which we could use before, unfortunately the parking site closed and it will be a construction site, so no free parking is available for the apartment now. However, the host was helpful in suggesting some parking options nearby.

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist perfekt – alles ist in der Nähe und gut erreichbar, zudem gibt es sehr gute Verbindungen in alle Richtungen. Die Wohnung ist klein, aber sehr nett und bietet alles, was man braucht. Sie ist sehr sauber, und die Matratze auf der Galerie ist bequem. Der Kontakt mit Kata war unkompliziert, und die Schlüsselübergabe über das Codesystem hat reibungslos funktioniert.

Die Wohnung befindet sich im obersten Stockwerk ohne Lift – mit einem großen Koffer ist der Aufstieg entsprechend mühsam. Es handelt sich um eine kleine, verwinkelte Dachgeschosswohnung, in der regelmäßiges Lüften notwendig ist. Der Schlafplatz liegt auf einer Galerie, die über eine weitere Treppe erreichbar ist. Für einen kurzen Stadtbesuch, bei dem man die Wohnung hauptsächlich zum Schlafen nutzt, ist sie gut geeignet. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt ist sie jedoch weniger komfortabel.

The apartment ist very beautiful and the perfect size for a solo traveler or two people. It's right next to the Gellert Spa and only a short walk to the city center, just perfect. When I visit Budapest again, I will definitely book it anew.

I'm very happy with the apartement so I'm not sure what to write here. Maybe the supplies in the kitchen could have a larger selection?
