Holiday on top City Center

good location next to a metro stop, big closet.

we had an argument with the owner about the bed which did not have a sheet on top of the mattress. in my understanding it goes like this: mattress-cover(optional)-sheet-person sleeping-sheet. there was no sheet over the cover, which i regard highly unhealthy. the owner, even though he didnt understand the meaning of a sheet over the mattress, he tried to meet my need by buying (the next day) another cover(!) and offering it to me right away for use... unwashed!! anyways. that was not the only problem. the second huge problem was that the bathroom had NO PRIVACY since its sliding glass door was leaving open gaps from both sides of the toilet entry (sorry, cant describe it better-i attach photos). also a problem the fact that there was no ventilation both in toilet (there was but it was not working) and in the room. all odors from toilet activity and food microwaving stayed inside the room. alternatively you could open the balcony door and risk the entering of insects. we did the second in order fresh air to enter the room but we had to stand in front of the open door and guard it at all times. also negative, the not good quality of the mattress. also negative the three tiny baby cockroaches that we found dead (there was a cockroach killing spray in the closet-i don't wonder why-never seen one in any other room i have ever rent, and i have rent lots and lots in the past - in this point i have to say that we didnt see any living tiny or big cockroach). also negative the fact that you had to climb about 30 steps to reach the room, info that should be available before and during booking (some people, like me, have sensitive knees).

Overall very nice experience, host was very friendly even sent us a list of sights, bars and restaurants. The instruction for the self check-in were easy to follow and clear, we had no problem. The location and the view were perfect. We had complementary drinks in the fridge which we enjoyed on the cozy balcony. Recommended and will probably stay here again if in Budapest!

The apartment itself is due for some renovations, also we would have liked for it to be just a bit cleaner. The AC was on the noisier side, but it was working and we got used to it. There were no major problems, definitely more positives than negatives.

The owner is a super kind man, very nice and polite. The flat is cozy with a small terrace view on the top of the Budapest's roof. Exactly as in the pictures

The balcony and view were amazing. We loved that the flat was in an older style building with a lot of character. The flat was very comfortable, and the host was so friendly and helpful. The flat had everything we needed and was located on a quiet square near the centre.

The bathroom is a bit small, with a glass sliding door. It's fine for a short stay.

The location was perfect able to walk to all the main attractions including the bus terminal and all easy within 20 minutes. Fabulous view from balcony in an authentic Hungarian building.

Personally, nothing but some guests may prefer more luxurious facilities and surrounding. The apartment was accessed via a truly authentic elevator not to everyone’s taste.

- Fluid communication (host very responsive) - Flexible arrival (we could let our baggage in the flat before 2pm since the previous guests left early) - Amazing view - Convenient location near the Oktogon place (with many metro/tram/bus options) - Very clean - Very quiet - Some welcome drinks in the fridge + possibility to make tea/coffee

-We were lucky to have a very sunny weather, and the flat was very bright => really enjoyable during the day, but a bit less in the morning! Thicker curtains would be a nice to have =)
