Coastal Heaven Downings

The location in Downings was central to the main street, access to the beach, shops and restaurants. The host was very welcoming and friendly. As the studio is small and features a microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge, it's not really designed for cooking. As we stayed 2 nights we made coffee and a small breakfast of toast. There's no washing up facilities so the host kindly provided us with a basin to replenish our dishes.

No complaints, just a tip. The self contained studio is ideal for a couple looking for somewhere to rest and is ideal if you are going to be out and about in the area. The host was more than accommodating and friendly! The family home is attached to the studio though so the common area at the sliding doors of the studio isn't completely private as the family home looks onto the garden area with seats. To access the studio, you have to walk behind the family home. The outdoor shower is a wonderful addition, but access isnt completely private so it's best to bring a large towel or dry robe for entering and existing it comfortably due to the proximity of the main house.
