The bedsheets and towels were clean.

1. This is not a 2 bedroom apartment. It is a ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT WITH ANOTHER BED PUT IN THE LIVING ROOM. It was extremely frustrating to have this advertised as a two bedroom on booking.com and then arrive to have something that was NOT A TWO BEDROOM APARTMENT. 2. We arrived to the unscreened balcony door having been opened. When we arrived, there were many (MORE THAN 10) small bugs* flying around. This was extremely uncomfortable. When we complained about the misleading advertising and the bugs, the property manager contacted the host who said that we could pay more to upgrade to the nicer apartment that they had available. To hell with that. We were willing to cancel our stay and go through the hassle to find another location to sleep at despite being in the foreign country of South Africa, but our stay was non-refundable. The property manager brought us bug spray to use around the apartment. *I had initially called them flies, but the host said that in my language of American English, they are called flies but in their language of South African/British English, they are called bugs apparently. This distinction did nothing to help the situation.

The apartment is comfortable with everything you need.

We expected a beachfront balcony, sea view, but instead got a tiny yard way back, with a sliver of a view - and only once you saw past the water tanks and parking covers, which really meant you didn’t want to sit there at all. It was incredibly disappointing. No way at all you could see any whales from the “balcony” from so far back.
