BpR W21 Retro Home with balcony

We liked the size of the rooms, the suburb, the location, the host, the cute details in the apartment. There is elevator, lots of places to have brunch and dinner, safe suburb, plenty of dishes if you want to cook and also there is a washing machine. Overall good apartment and for sure great for the price

The toilet! Its too small! If you are a big person- consider the size of the toilet- and also it smells bad and there was no toilet paper (i guess they forgot to load it so we bought). There are many things you need to be careful with- the windows to be closed before you leave and the gas boiler- it’s literally visible while you take a shower- so be careful with it. It was a bit hard to find the door the first time- its actually the white door that leads to the inner yard balcony and you just need to follow it and you will find the apartment. And the last thing we did not like is the thickness of the walls between the apartments- the smaller room is super noisy as we can hear EVERYTHING that the neighbors are doing even like opening the fridge or sneezing etc 😂 it felt as if we were in the same room.

Fantastic retro set up. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Large bedrooms. Good communication. Excellent location.

Expect a few 'quirks' of an older home :)

The Toilet is a disaster, very tiny literally 100x60 cm, you don't know where to go with your legs! The hygiene is terrifying, dust everywhere on the shelves and on the ground, the smell of urine comes from the toilet walls, very disgusting. The owner clearly did not want to bring professional cleaners but have charged us cleaning fee anyway! The owner left us only 3 towels for the our entire booking of 5 days, even if we want to wash them there are no extra towels to use as we were 3 persons, put aside that we were given only one hand towel! When we asked the owner to send us extra towels, the response was asking us to pay 20 euros! The lights are horrible, very old and very weak, enough to cause you depression itself!. The bath tub has no curtains, so you have to prepare yourself for flood!. You won't be surprised after that to find only 3 toilet rolls and less than 50 ml of hand gel for 3 people staying for 5 days. I don't wish anyone have such a bad experience.

Fantastic apartment in genuine 70s/80s style, but in a beautiful old Art Nouveau building. The area is lively but safe, and it's close to everything. Most of the furniture are original retro style and especially the bathroom has really cool tile and gas heating. The check-in was very smooth and we found the host to be serious.

The beds have no mattress and you sleep directly on the spring base, which is not the most comfortable. The apartment smelled very strongly of scented oil and even though we moved the oil jug out, unfortunately the headache-inducing smell remained. That kind of scent is not genuine 70s/80s and doesn't fit the concept! Otherwise we really liked living in old-style, but if you have problems with the shower being tricky, old equipment in the kitchen etc, then you should stay somewhere else.

The location was excellent, close to all amenities. The process was very easy to follow. The decor also added to the experience.

There was a lack of towels for our duration, 4 nights and there was no stable shower or curtain. This is a very simple thing to implement, which would improve visitor experience a lot.
