I liked the suburb more than the actual premises...

Nico (Owner) was very rude. Even said to me "I don't know what's wrong with you people..." To me that was very offensive and was full of racism. Secondly, having to pay a breakage fee of R2000 when you did not budget for it is just insane, and you find out about a breakage fee after booking online. If you want to cancel your booking, they charge you 50% cancellation fee and not refund you the full amount that you paid to book online. I ended up paying R1000 breakage fee which took 3 days to be paid back into my account after I had checked out. Thirdly, the place needs a total revamp or renovation, photos from the internet can be deceiving.... You are never free and comfortable to stay at Katinga as there are so many rules you are even scared to seat on the couch or sweat on their bed sheets... There are no heaters, Aircon, hot water bottles, or electric blankets.... And it was cold... Overall experience, I wish I had booked somewhere else, ended up not even liking Hermanus....

Basically theres nothing that we didn't like about the place .

The location is good, but the poor condition of the property, unfortunately surpasses the location.

The property was not clean. Bathroom, shower especially, kitchen counter sticky, glasses, mugs and even crockery were dirty from whom ever stayed there previously, I informed the host that I was nog happy, she was not helpful, still waiting for her reply and inspection on my complaint, uncertain if the linens was even changed after the last guests have left. Lawn was not mowed, cigaret buds and chicken bones scattered all over. So many rules and fines for guests, but nothing applicable to the host. R1000 breakage fee, that must be cleared and paid but on refund it takes 7 days.

It was close to the beach.

The houses was apart from each other so if you go with a group with people you need to walk up and down and just not chill at one house .
