Elizabeth Apartment in the heart of Budapest

location of the apartment is excellent. Within walking distance of most attractions and the city tour bus stop. The apartments face an inner courtyard, which is quiet and peaceful.

Too difficult to point out only one favourite aspect! The appartment itself is great: cosy and compact but layed out smart; with 3 people this felt quite spacious, even if we'd have been inside more. The location is super convenient! You can walk everywhere from here (as we did for the most part). The centre and river are max. 30 mins. and you can walk thorugh various nice neighbourhoods (each different in style). Metro, bus stop and share bikes and scooters are literally 1 or 2 minutes away. There are 3 good sized and well stocked super markets within 5 minutes walking distance. Lastly the host arranged everything well and explained all clearly and was reachable in case it was needed.

The courtyard and building could be noisy as they are not very soundproof. We had only one issue with this, on one night, when there was noise from neighbours. Generally speaking this would not be an issue as there is plenty of signposting info for this on/around the building and residents and visitors alike do seem to respect that.

We loved staying here! The location is great, Erzsébet körút is a very typical boulevard, the apartment is less than 10 mins' walk from the local Metro station Blaha Lujza tér, you get a code to enter the courtyard and you retrieve the key from a box, also coded, you can then go up to the apartment via two flights of stairs or via the lift, we only used the lift on arrival and departure because we had luggage. The courtyard and the inside building are slighly run down but it didn't bother us at all. From the very first day we got very familiar with the building and apartment and it was a nice feeling to come back to the warmth of the apartment in the evening, tired after all the walking we were doing. It was spacious and very well equipped, everything was provided, nice bathroom too. It was also quiet as the courtyard is internal so the various noises from the road are blocked out. We would stay here again, the overall price-quality relationship was top-notch!

The TV channels were not coming up, I had a chat with the owner and was told the TV works, well it wasn't for me, after we left the owners came over for a check and found a cable disconnected from somewhere, likely from the people staying in the apartment before us, anyway not too much of a worry as we were out for most of the day, it was only needed for 1 hour or so in the evening for our children to watch cartoons before sleeping. There was a very light musty smell in the entrance/main room on some days during our stay, it could be that it depended on the weather or the period of the year, maybe ventilation should be improved, again this was no big deal. The registration process was a bit tedious, but I understand it's the Hungarian law, so this wasn't strictly related to Elizabeth Apartment.

Communication with host, cleaniness, accessibility and availability of groceries and public transport right next to apartment.

The apartment is fully equipped, renovated with an eye for detail and well taken care, just like in the pictures. Very good location also, indeed "the heart of Budapest" . And everything you need it s just outside. Access is from the inner courtyard, so there s no disturbing noise at nights. Loved it! Would come back anytime!

Super comfortable and placed in a fantastic place. We travelled with a baby and Monika made everything very easy. Cot and high chair for the baby available and a drug store and supermarket almost in the door for whatever necessary
