Great place. Actually cozy and confortable. The owner is very nice. Nice spot as well!

It was a cool old building with self-contained apartments. It was clean, quiet, and had lovely hardwood and a hotel style feel, comfortable bed, cute kitchen. There’s even a gym and some vending machines. The staff were helpful, responsive, and friendly. Bruno at the front desk stuck around for my late check in and showed me to my place. It was only a 15 minute drive into Ottawa, easy access, and there’s a parking lot with free parking.

We liked the area in Gatineau. We enjoyed the large room and at first sight, everything looked good in the apartment but unfortunately it did not turn out as well as it seemed.

It started on the first evening, with the fixture for the curtains coming down from our wall. We immediately reported to the receptionist but during our stay nothing happened and the wall plaster, coming out with the fixture, was still in our room the whole time.. Hanging out the offered cleaning sign did not help. The next day, when flushing, the water did go up but was not going down afterwards so we could not use our toilet. Unfortunately we could not meet someone at the reception several times (neither in the evening nor in the morning, the next day). On the next evening, a beeping noise came from the aisle for several hours. Hard to sleep after midnight if the noise is constantly coming from the front door. From another room in our aisle, water was running out of the door. So we tried to call the indicated number and find a receptionist. As we could not reach anyone and the water kept running, we called for the firemen in order to prevent a huge water damage. So all in all, we were hoping for a better stay and would not recommend the property.
