Elements Of Goulburn

Nice apartment in the heart of Goulburn, the owner was helpful and easy to deal with. It is one of 3 apartments in the house. I recommend this property.

Would have liked a heater in the bedroom, but the electric blanket made up for it. The lounge was heated very well with a gas heater and reverse cycle.

The location is great and it was quiet at night with just distant traffic noise. The interior is smart and modern and it is well equipped (except I never did find glasses of any description). The weather was VERY cold and we used the gas heater and air con. Some instructions for gas heater would be good. Furnishings are tasteful and comfy.

The bed was not very comfortable and was very low. Window coverings look good and block all light however not very thermally efficient making it hard to warm the apartment. This is offered as constructive criticism and I would stay again. 😀

Location is great, essential - the interior, and facilities is exactly what you need, did not lack anything required in a cold night at Goulburn with great triple gas heater, electric blankets, salt, pepper, utensiles, everything you need to make a home cooked meal if that is what you wish to do, watch some TV comfortably, bed was comfy.

Communication needs a lot of work - admittedly without dispute, I had incorrected entered the date of arrival a day incorrectly (a day earlier), within minutes of noticing I attempted to contact the host via the contact number provided, no answer, left a voice mail and a SMS, no response, the following day attempted to call the number again, no response, eventually tried an alternative number that was not the primary, and received contact. I called Booking.com as advised to change the date, Booking.com sent an email to the host to confirm change, the email to the host wasn't found as it went to an email address they didn't think to check, eventually sorting it out by a simple switch of date without additional fees which I command, because I would have absolutely paid seemingly it was my fault, but the poor communication didn't stop there - during our stay, we were advised that the following day, no hot water from 8.30am due to maintenance for 6-hours, to our surprise it was a a complete blackout of electricity, so no hot water, no electricity, no heater, nothing. We ended up leaving shortly after, there is no signage to the property which makes it difficult to find considering Google Maps, Waze takes you to a different back street (again, could be fixed with some basic communication, instructions). Has huge potential, but just these small things over and over again was just unnecessary, the booking error for example is something that would be extremely common, it shouldn't take 5 phone calls, 2 voicemails, two calls to booking.com, two mobile numbers, and a missed email to fix. Electricity? Well, couldn't be prevented but would have been great to know - was advised it was the entire neighborhood, it wasn't, just a few properties, including the place we stayed.
