Terrance House, modern, spacious

Visited to attend a family wedding. Spacious and comfortable. Everything you need for a short stay such as iron, hair dryer and convenient items left for us to use such as shampoo’s, shower gels etc and kitchen items such as tea, coffee and things to wash up with. My children enjoyed that they were able to watch Netflix and YouTube on the tv too. Nice quiet area. Hosts were so lovely, very approachable and accommodating if needed anything, and answered any messages very quickly. We had a lovely stay.

Clean, roomy house, with everything you need.

The heating didn't really work and the instructions given to work it, we're too vague. Spoke to the owner and she said she would sort. The house didn't warm up that evening.

Spacious and nice decor.

Firstly toilet did not flush, no iron, iron board (which we reported) or hair drier provided. After returning from graduation in the morning, there was a new iron board and iron in the kitchen. There were also other issues with the property. The main issue was BED BUGS. The morning of my graduation ceremony day, 6am woke up to discover a Bed Bug infestation. I reported this issue a.s.a.p. to the contact number provided. The person was very apologetic; however no assistance, nobody came round to the property and we were left to deal with this issue ourselves. We left a.s.a.p with everything in plastic/vacuum bags. We have just finished the first stage of dealing with this issue, after extensive research. We have not had any communication from the accommodation provider, apart from a leaving message the next day. This was to thank us for staying, leaving instructions and encouraging us to stay again with a discount if we booked directly. Booking.com have also been apologetic, but very reticent with information regarding this issue. I was informed an investigation would be initiated, however I have not be contacted for photos or any specific details. We have received a refund, however, we are out of pocket in terms of the resources we have had purchase to deal with this issue. We have had no reassurances that this matter is being taken seriously, to prevent further spread of a prolific pest. Also to stop others suffering the physical and mental consequences.

The rooms were spacious.

The toilet was tricky to flush.

Excellent place, good location, quiet, comfortable. I will recommend them anytime.

Can't think of anything

Great for a weekend away with kids and dogs. Just a short drive to the City Centre, only 10 mins to the castle and half an hour to Hadrian's Wall. The back garden is fully enclosed so no worries letting the dogs out and a big park round the corner for exercising them. The house is cosy, comfortable and nicely presented, with pllenty of on street parking.

A small thing, but the main bedroom would benefit from a mirror and somewhere to hang things - a door hook would suffice.
