The Retro Retreat with free parking

Such a fun place to stay we have already said we will go back for more than one night in the future. The location is awesome just a few flights of steps to the pretty and vibrant Old Town.

I have nothing negative to say on this one.

The Retro Retreat is designed and decorated in amazing style. It is almost like staying in an art installation. Room has so much character. I love the colours, toys and all the knick knacks which transfers the guests back into 1976. Studio flat adjacent to the hosts' house is very cute. There is a nice terrace in the front with views over Hastings and the sea. Parking is convenient. The location is amazing. The host and hostess are both very cool people. They are helpful when needed but gives the guests their space and privacy. Everything sis very clean, very well functioning, very well designed. Highly recommended. This was our second time here by the way and hoping to return again soon.

Fab location just off George Street, hosts were very attentive and helpful without being obtrusive. The room is clean and amazingly well decorated, the shower is lovely. Really enjoyed our stay.

The only thing I would say is that getting to the property by car is a little tricky because Hill street is very narrow. But it’s doable.

Location was great. 1 minute walk and you are in the heart of Hastings old town. The property was fun and provided all the facilities that I needed. The terrace was lovely to sit out on in the sun and for breakfast in the morning (does need a sun umbrella though!)

The retro feel was "total" and you could relate to the passion that the owners must have had putting it together. It was comfortable, warm and nice little touches like tea and coffee, fresh milk, bikkies and even retro sweets. The location was perfect for the Old Town with its bars and restaurants and the parking a great bonus. Lovely views from the terrace over the old rooftops to the sea. The owners were helpful, good communication and were happy to allow us to stay and enjoy the sunshine on the terrace for as long as we wanted, although this, presumably, because no one else was checking in.

Not a lot to dislike really, unless you want modern! Just be aware that there are a few steps leading up to the flat from the parking area. There are two atrium windows and only one of them was curtained so it got a bit light early on in the morning.

Smell of humidity in the room...mould smell without obvious signs of it though...
