Magnificent sea view! Luminous 1 br for max 4

Access was a nightmare after a day of travel. The key was a block from the apartment, there were multiple lockboxes on a bike rack, and the lockbox would not open. I had to wait for a taxi to take me to the central office, walk around the intersection to find the unstaffed central office, follow instructions to find the keybox and the right key to the flat, then return to the apartment to gain access. Supposedly the only key to the flat, we waited around at last instruction, to pass the key to the cleaner upon checkout. The cleaner didn’t arrive, so we took the key to the bikerack convenience store. As it turns out, I had received an updated instruction to leave the key in the apartment. Ugh. This access was unacceptable.

Stairs toward the front door. Small mechanical elevator - has nothing to do with hosts, it’s an old building in a historical central area.

We liked the location as it was easy get around and there were a number of restaurants near by. The kitchen was well supplied, the apartment was clean, the internet was fast and there was a common outside seating areal.

The directions to get in were confusing and not complete. The retrieval of the apartment key was annoying and we had to walk a few blocks to get the key and we had to try 3 lockboxes to find the correct key. The bed was crammed in so you had to crawl accords the bed to get out. The bathroom was tiny and there was no shower current on the tub so the bathroom got wet.

I would have loved a kettle, but I heated water in the microwave (for tea). Otherwise, all very good.

Location was brilliant. Walkable to everywhere and a tram stop 5 minutes away. The apartment was very light and bright with great views over the eastern harbour. You can see Helsinki's ice breaker fleet moored up for summer

A minor detail, the bed is a generous size but it does fill the bed alcove so you have to scramble in from the end. Not a problem but worth knowing. Some basics like egg cups lacking.

Location and facilities

There is a partial view of the marina. The property is close to a kiosk and has some local attractions. Comfortable bed.

Finding the key wasn't as easy as it should have been - the listing showed it in one location, the communication noted a different location. Bear in mind that the apartment is on the 5th floor, although there is a (very) small lift. Major bug-bear - the apartment was not clean! There was blood stain smears in the bathroom and the kitchen utilities were too sticky for me to have any inclination to use. We ultimately ate out and purchased some plastics for our in-meals. It's not easy to access the bed. There is only about 8-10cm at best on either side of the bed. Noise is a bit of an issue - you can clearly hear everything in the lobby and partially the next door neighbours too. Not enough lights or sufficient doors.
