Maxima - Palazzo di Meteora

L'appartamento è molto grande e vivibile. Il self check-in molto utile e semplice sia per gli ospiti che per l'host. Casa completamente ristrutturata, oltre alle ampie stanze e due bagni ci sono 4 comodi e usufruibili balconi. A 10 minuti di macchina dai monasteri delle meteore. È possibile fare base all'appartamento dopo aver visitato qualche monastero e poi tornare nel pomeriggio. Attenzione che un giorno alla settimana a turno 1 dei 6 monasteri è chiuso. Attenzione anche agli orari: alcuni monasteri fanno orario continuato altri spezzato, alcuni chiudono alle 15:30, altri le 16; altri alle 17, 17:30, 17:45. Host molto reattivo, comprensivo e risolutivo. Consigliatissimo.

Great appartment centrally located 2 minutes walk from supermarket and cafes/restaurants. Balconies with view of meteora. All rooms with tv and own ac. Clean and fresh feel with lovely furnishings. Well equipped kitchen with great coffee machine. Host very accessible and sent useful info about local area. We loved this place and will come back!

Size of apartment, location and cleanliness

Wifi on second day was patchy and very weak.

Very spacious, well decorated, very comfortable and well appointed! We were traveling with our three adults children, and it was just perfect! I would highly recommend. Taso checked in with us many times to see if there was anything that we needed and was always available.

The apartment is very comfortable and well equipted.

The were construction works on the first floor and they were a little too noisy for saturday morning.

The apartment was very comfortable - plenty of room for six people, a well-stocked kitchen with a grocery store a five minute walk away, off street parking at the place, and a close drive to the Meteora sites. The washing machine came in handy and the living room was a nice place to gather and chat. Zoe/Zoi, the woman I had much of the correspondence with, was very friendly and helpful, especially when one of my party developed an earache and needed some drops from the pharmacy. My group enjoyed the place a lot.

The main negative was the lack of a shower curtain in the largest of the bathrooms. It seems like a small thing, but when you have up to four people using a shower with no curtain and the floor consequently becomes sopping wet, it is an issue. When I mentioned the lack of a curtain to Tasos (the other host we interacted with), he said that the curtain had been sent out for cleaning and would not be returned during our stay. Sending something like that out for cleaning before guests arrive without replacing it with some kind of substitute seems like a questionable decision, and Tasos didn’t appear to understand why this bothered us. Was this the end of the world? No - as I say, our stay was quite nice. However, the hosts would do well to make sure the shower has a curtain in the future, and potential guests might think to ask if this is the case before booking. In addition, although there was parking on site, it was accessed by driving down a narrow passage to the apartment’s backyard. This was fine, but there was work being done on the ground floor apartment during the day and we had to ask the workers to move their vehicles so we could leave the premises. Neither of these issues would prevent us from staying at the apartment in the future - this is more of an fyi for future guests.
