Location is very good, and staff also in the restaurant are very helpfull and nice.

This is our 3rd time at this place, but now we had the bigger apprtment nr.4 and the beds in this apprtment were not good. Very weak planks that kept popping out under the bed, so we took the matress and slept in the ground. Also the airco-unit kept leaking. We informed the owner and he came immediately and fixes it. But few hours later it started leaking again, so we just kept a towel under it until we left. Advice: Change the beds and ensure comfy beds like in apprtmt nr.1 Fix the airco unit

The location was good. Just next to the main street. There was also a parking place just opposite of the hotel and it was free of charge to the hotel guests.

The "hotel" was practically a few apartments in the same building as a restaurant which worked as a reception. There was not a lot to do in Karlobag. Just beaches and a couple of restaurants to visit.

Beautiful view from the window. The apartment is cosy and the furniture is comfortable.

Air conditioning seemed problematic. The surroundings are noisy, as the apartment is located right next to a passable street.

Location was great with a restaurant downstairs, parking and minutes walk to the beach.

Check-in was super weird. There was no hotel reception, you have to check in at the restaurant. The only reason that we knew was to do was because we'd called ahead of time to let them know we were on the way. The guy who checked us in seemed more focused on the restaurant than hotel guests and ignored us after we'd checked in and wanted a table for dinner. Not a huge deal, but some people might find this stressful. Otherwise, we would have been super confused.

The location right opposite to the beach was great.

Was a very small room. WiFi doesn’t exist and connectivity poor.

The apartment we stayed in was clean, bed was comfortable and the shower was excellent. It is located above a restaurant and next to the road but with the windows shut the noise was minimal. The view across the sea from our window was beautiful. There is a small bakery across the road (next to the carpark) which had nice pastries and good variety of fresh bread. Beaches (Stoney) are a 5-10 minute walk in either direction along the coast. Beautiful clear water, perfect for swimming. You can order food from the restaurant below to be sent to your room which was a nice touch. On request our host even provided a little step/stool for our son to reach the sink/toilet easier. Fantastic location, you're 15 minutes drive from the ferry to Pag (Shingle/sand beaches), 30 minutes drive from the ferry port to Rab island (If you're after a sandy beach you'll want to go there), 60ish minutes from Senj and 90 minutes from Plitvice Lakes National Park. Stating the obvious a bit but a hire car is essential if you're basing your stay from Karlobag. On the way back from the Lakes, we stopped at Restoran Malo Misto on the D25 for food and it was excellent.

The WiFi was not great. The connection (which is the restaurant WiFi) was slow and would often cut out completely. It served a purpose for a quick search on google maps etc, but we mainly just used our phone data. It is not a negative point but an observation; you are very limited for space, your bedroom, kitchen and dining room are all the same compact place. It is fine if you are planning to go out everyday. Be aware that, while there are plenty of little shops locally, if you want a big supermarket you will need to go to Senj, Starigrad or Gospic. They have more variety and better value for planning meals, packed lunches for day trips etc. If you have come from Zadar airport you can stop at Starigrad on the way and pick up what you need.
