Ilmola resort by the river

The apartment was super cozy and clean. The owner was so helpful in every question She helped me out immediately. Perfect place to stay and have a relaxing time in Lappland.

A very large house and a beautiful view of the river

Really cozy house! The view is amazing. Kitchen is very well equipped

Perfect size and very clean. Location is great right next to the river. Nearest town for shopping is Kemi with 15 mins drive. Rovaniemi is about 1.5 hrs. The location is dark enough to see the Aurora if you are lucky like us. Definitely recommend.

Very nice location next to old riverside farmhouse

Very very spacious and well-furnished house. It is equpped with everything you need for spending weekend on North: sauna, fireplace, stove (which can be used for heating), also all modern facilities as a side-by-side fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, drying machine, dishwaher, two toilets, modern TV, interent connection, two type of water supply (which is very important while you stay on North where -30 frost can freeze everything). House is well located: very far from any other houses - there is a total silent around, rahter far from road with a 1 car/hour traffic, and very picteresque view on Kemi river. Bonus - if you are fond of jumping in a snow after sauna, both entrance doors (main one and bedrom's) leads to nobody's eyes which keeps you privacy even outside :) Host is very responsible: repaired partial water supply outage very quickly and called to auto assistance sevices to find the solution for our frosted AdBlue :) Waiting for my next winter vacation to visit Lapland and this house again!

One minor drawback: sauna's stove rather weak for such big sauna and you need to wait to +80 cca 2 hours and +90 for half a day :) which is not a problem, becuase temperature shortage coulbe be compencated by steam - sauna lovers know :)

We really enjoyed our stay, the rooms are how they described, except the tv inside the master bedroom has been moved/removed. The sauna worked just fine, we used it every night. The view from the villa was so nice and we could walk on top of the frozen river as well. We managed to see the northern lights for 2 nights in a row.

The wifi was broken on the first night because of the previous customer, but the owner replaced it on the next morning. However, the wifi is still too slow for our group. We also had some difficulties to use the living room tv. We could not open Netflix app and at last we used the screen mirroring, because we did not find any HDMI cable to connect our laptop.
