Appartamento grande e con terrazza vicino al mare. Ma molto deludente lo stato interno.

L'appartamento è vicino al mare, ha una bella terrazza ed è grande ma il mobilio è molto vecchio. Il proprietario è stato gentile ci ha chiesto se l'appartamento andava bene e li per lì abbiamo detto si. Poi però ho verificato che non corrispondeva per nulla alle foto su booking. Non l'avrei sicuramente scelto anche perché per lo stato in cui si trova è caro.

Property had good facilities, spacious and livable.

Owner did not reply to communication very much, we arrived early and asked to be let in, received no reply for 3 hours. We then arrived at the check in time and no one was waiting for us, it took about 40 minutes from what appeared to be a guest to call the person and they ended up letting us in.

Georgos was an amazing host. When we first arrived, our hotel room was double booked. He said he tried to contact us on my Canadian phone number, but I had a new card and did not check messages at the time. He should have communicated through the app. As a result, he did go out of his way to find us a place and he drove us all the way tot he other location which was about 20 minutes away at the edge of Kalamata city. The view was beautiful but it was a much different place near a busy road and without kitchen. Still, he ensured that we had a place to stay and said we could come back for our last day. When we arrived at his place finally the second time, he had a sweet lady take us up to our room, which was stunningly beautiful. The review of the room is based on this mixed experience at the end of our vacation. The view was amazing as were the sunsets over the mountains on the other side of the bay. I'm not sure what happened about the booking. The bed was very comfortable and very clean. The kettle was nice as was the kitchen sink but there wasn't a stove - but there was one in the hallway (perhaps it is shared). Also, we tried to reach him again but did not get a wifi code.

When we first arrived, our hotel room was double booked. Georgos should have communicated with us through the app as travellers often use What's App or the booking message service to contact the client since it is too expensive to keep your phone number active in a foreign country. We usually get a sim card that is local and Greek. Also the alternative room was ok but not as peaceful as we would have liked, although it did have a view and places were booked out, so I appreciate that he did his best under the circumstances. We never got the wifi code. Georgos, you should put it on a little card in the room so you don't have to remember to tell people. Also, people should know that the drive from Kalamata is quite long, about 25-30 minutes because the roads are busy and very tight and curvy at times.

Lots of cockroaches in cupboards, drawers, bathroom. Really dreadful furniture. Waste in bathroom not emptied daily. Yards, front and rear, were building sites. No minimarket or shops nearby (this was self-catering). Only one nearby taverna - 3 others were down a very long, steep, rocky track, and I am disabled. Never again.

SUPERB LOCATION AND VIEW

Owner/proprietor met us on arrival. Room had a small kitchenette, enough for our needs. Very nice family owners/managers. They made sure we had everything we needed.
