The sea wasn’t far from the apartment, like 10 minutes

The owners of the accommodation greeted us quite kindly on the first day. Our first impression of them seemed good, although they didn’t speak English. The apartment itself was very small, but the worst part was that it was dirty. The drawers, cupboards—everything was filthy. In terms of equipment, it was terrible. There was only one kettle and a tiny stove, where you could try cooking something in a worn-out old pan—if everything didn’t burn within a minute! But that wasn’t even the worst part. One day, I heard a noise from the hallway while my husband was out. I looked outside to see what it was and saw the owner running away. A second later—once he realized I had seen him—he turned back and started stammering something in Croatian (since he didn’t speak a word of English). 😳🤯 And it still didn’t end there! One evening, we arrived home late, and it had just started raining. I went up to the apartment and saw a key in the lock. I opened the door—and there he was, standing in the middle of our apartment, moving around the chairs and clothes rack (which had been outside on the terrace). He had taken all our stuff from the terrace without our permission, because he had this obsession that the retractable awning must be rolled in every night. And since he was clearly spying on us and saw we hadn’t done it that day, he just let himself in and did it! But hey, at least he was kind enough not to let our things get wet in the rain (irony 😆). By this point, I was furious and told him to leave the apartment immediately, because he had absolutely no right to touch our belongings—especially not while we were paying for the place! All in all, the vacation was ruined because of this apartment. I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone—unless you enjoy being watched constantly.

Location is good.
