Casa Di Mezzo by Arbaspàa

Very quite small village at night not as busy as other villages during day as it was so small but we loved it train stop in centre of village through a pedestrian tunnel which made quick and easy transport to all villages The Main Street into the village is steep but wide and easy however as warned the stairs are very steep to all accommodation

The air conditioning needs a good service as it wasn’t working so well but we opened doors and shut louvre doors as villagers were so quiet we had no trouble sleeping

You could not get a better location within the heart of Manarola. Sitting on the balcony watching the locals start their days or listening to the sounds of music and laughter in the afternoon. A 2 min to all that is needed: walk to the water to swim, to train station, to shops, to walking trails and to ferries. We loved every second and didn’t want it to end.

The kitchen had very few utensils and crockery but we made do and honestly was such a minor issue compared to how great this place was.

The location was really good

-They offer a parking spot, but after booking they said to us that they don't have one and we could park at the entrance of the city ( it was really complicated and we almost could not find one place) - the tube that brings the water to the toilet was easily disconnected and every time we went to toilet we had to check the connection. - most of the sockets in the house don't work with the European connection. They have 3 holes and it does not fit. - the house doesn't have AC, we had a fan in the bedroom, but the socket next to it didn't fit. - the house smells humid - the bathroom is really small. -even though the location is really good, in the morning around 5 am it is really noisy, the sound of people transporting glass.

The aircondition was two portable fans that unfourtnetly did not cool the room that was very hot in the middle of summer. Because of the heat we sleept with the balkony doors open and it was a bit noisy late at night from the street below. Otherwise happy with the aparment.

Good location, all the essentials, great terrace to sit out on although we couldn’t see the sea. Good a/c working Coffee pods left for us , and cold water in the fridge which was good , although the boat wasn’t pushed out.

The views were incredible! You can see the ocean from one side and the church square from the bedroom. All windows have been modernized which insulate from weather and noise.

Just be aware there are several set of stairs, including another from the bedrooms to the kitchen but that is to be expected in such a steep village built into the hillside.

I loved the location, it was in the center of Manarola, super close to the water and to the train station (5 minutes), making it accessible to go to La Spezia or to Monterosso for the day. Would also recommend going to Nessun Dorma for the pesto class, it was a five or so minute walk and was my friends and I favorite part of the trip.

One room did not have an AC unit or fan, but the weather at night gets pretty cool so it did not cause too many issues for us!
