Yolk - Puglia Mia Apartments

The location of the apartment was great, easy to get to the old town and the beaches by foot. We were a group of friends and rented all 3 apartments - they all had keys and they had a common hallway that had a door leading to the stairs. The apartments were clean and spacious, the beds were comfortable, the kitchens were well equipped with everything we needed. We asked for and received on the next day the baby high chair and an extra set of towels and sheets for the baby to sleep on the couch.

We did not have cleaning supplies - a broom and a mop would have been helpful. As mentioned in the description, there is an extra tax for the baby cot or extra towels for an infant. We asked for the towels and got them on the second day. We specifically asked for the baby cot and mentioned where to place it, but when we got there they said they will bring it the next day - this is not ideal, since the baby needs to sleep somewhere in the first night, and not all babies co-sleep.

Location was a pro and a con. Amenities were well-appointed. Antonella made efforts to accommodate my feedback. I was located in the Deep Sea unit with a sea view! Ideally located near the port and old part of the town.

NOISE was the biggest issue: the port, the restaurant in front of the location, nightclub and rowing club across the street, major throughway AND stomping grounds for young people who hung out on the steps to my unit, at all hours of the night. Another bar up the street. Each evening I had to chase people off my front stoop who came regularly to talk, smoke, drink and smoke up. Out of 14 nights booked I only stayed 10. Out of those, four nights were progressively intrusive with noise, the weekend was horrendous with the nightclub blasting music till 2:30 am. Four nights in the second week were acceptable. Staff showed passive to resistant behaviour! In their words, they were available but not responsible. This negatively impacted my vacation significantly. Need a manual or guide book for all the policies and procedures such as for the convoluted recycling program. Definitely, short stays are ideal or for people who spend most of their evenings out! Limited supplies and services were offered even though this was a long stay.

The apartment is modern and very clean and overall our stay was comfortable. Giulia was a great host who was always available to help and had some great recommendations for places to visit. Location is close to the old town, only a few minutes stroll which is very convenient. There is also a seafood place directly downstairs that was fantastic.

We were on the ground floor apartment. Each night when we arrived home after dinner, there were groups of 6-8 youths sitting on/standing around the front step to our apartment. Nothing happened but at times it felt intimidating as the steps are right outside. I would just be mindful of this if travelling alone.

Walking distance to Monopoli center, lovely view over a harbor so location is great. Little noisy in the evenings because of a cocktail bar across te street that usually closes around midnight. Good communication with host.

Everything was perfect the apartment was very cute and very clean too. Perfect location at the heart of the old town. The lady that welcomed us was very kind and polite too.

The only negative was the bed at the first floor which was a couch and it was not so comfortable. Otherwise everything was perfect

There was no separate bedroom.
